Kaleigh blowing bubbles

Kaleigh blowing bubbles in the car (of course I didn't catch when she was really going to town but I finally figured out how to download video!)

A beautiful February day

It reached 70 today. I had to stay home from work since Kaleigh was sick with a fever and Jon was out of town. All Kaleigh really wanted was for me to hold her. It was easiest to put her in the Ergo and go outside to entertain Maeve. The smell of spring was in the air and there is nothing like opening all the windows to air out the winter. It puts me in such a great mood. Maeve had so much fun pushing her baby around outside and visiting with everyone that was out enjoying the weather. I love our neighborhood because there are so many young children and great moms to meet up with. I know the weather was just a tease but it makes me excited for spring!

Lolo and Papa's visit

We had a great visit with Lolo and Papa. The weather was so nice and Maeve and Kaleigh were able to visit the Clemyjontri park, go to brunch in Leesburg and get some extra loving from their grandparents on Monday while Jonny and I worked. Maeve is especially fond of Papa and continues to ask about him now that he's gone. It really makes me sad that we are not closer to family but appreciate all the effort that family has made to come visit frequently.

February Fun

January is finally over. It was good to have a slower month to get settled back into work and recover from the holidays. I have to say that the reality of two and working has had me a little crazy lately. And I still realize how lucky I am to have it since I can do it part time. As much as I want to work, I have a harder and harder time leaving the girls everyday. Plus, I am over the drama at my job. The only thing that makes me feel better is that Maeve absolutely loves going to daycare. Today the teacher said she spent the day "making out" with her new best friend, William, and dancing in front of the mirror. She must get her moves on the drive into work. Her recent favorite songs are "Come on Eileen" and "Let's get it started". Kaleigh starts at Inova's daycare on the 23rd, which will make life easier, since Jonny may be traveling more soon. Maeve is getting more talkative everyday. Her latest is, "thank you, mommy" and "your welcome". It's so cute. Kaleigh is full of belly laughs. She is in the nosey stage, always trying to nurse while turning her head to see what's going on....ouch! Lolo and Papa come to visit tomorrow and we are off for a Bahama vacation next weekend. I can't wait!
